Social Media Executive (MS News)

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Social Media Executive to join our team at MustShareNews under TSL Media. You will play a key role in leading the development and implementation of the social media strategy for MustShareNews, with a focus on driving audience engagement and growth across MustShareNews’s social media channels which include Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social sites that arise.  The successful candidate should have content creation experience and follow the news. 


What you will do:

  • Ideate and conceptualise engaging video content aligned with MS News' editorial tone and audience interests.
  • Produce short, simple videos (e.g, news clips, explainers) for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
  • Ability to shoot, edit, and upload videos using basic video editing software and mobile tools.
  • Stay updated on trending topics and social media trends to create timely and relevant content.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to transform articles into bite-sized visual content for social media.
  • Ensure all content is optimised for each platform, adhering to best practices for video format, captioning, and engagement.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance using analytics tools to improve video reach and engagement.
  • Engage with the community, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner to foster interaction.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc assignments as required

The successful candidate should have:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in social media strategy and management, with experience leading a team of min 2 pax
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Able to produce, create and edit content
  • Good understanding of social media metrics and analytics
  • Actively follows trending news in Singapore/globally
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Proven track record of driving audience engagement and growth on social media platforms
