Social Media Executive

About the role:

This position will be based in our Singapore office located in Kallang Bahru.  

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Social Media Executive to join our team. This role will play a key role in the development and implementation of the social media strategy.

You will focus on driving audience engagement and growth across The Smart Local's social media platforms which includes Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. The successful candidate would have proven experience using social media to build brands, generate organic engagement, and grow social communities.


What you will do:

Social Media Management

  • Oversee the running of TSL social media accounts (for now - IG & occasionally TikTok), which includes planning content calendar and schedule posts in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to brainstorm, create, execute best-in-class social media campaigns
  • Curate and create engaging content for the company's social media accounts
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure the company's social media presence stays relevant and effective
  • Analyse social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and provide insights for optimisation
  • Be a point of contact to respond to enquiries relating to social media, fulfilling ad-hoc requests from management, sales team, and other internal teams
  • Act as a project manager for social media-related projects

Talenting Duties

  • To appear as a face of TSL in our social media channels, mainly Instagram and TikTok
  • When necessary, to appear in articles/videos under TSL media group which include its sister brands such as Eatbook and Zula

The successful candidate should have:

  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in social media strategy and management  
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Able to produce, create and edit short-form content with tools such as CapCut or Adobe
  • Good understanding of social media metrics and analytics 
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player with a great sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong project management and organisation skills 
  • Proven track record of driving audience engagement and growth on social media platforms
