About the role:
We are seeking someone who can pitch and produce engaging food content for Eatbook.sg and our clients, with a strong focus on research-driven, interview-based long-form features. The role also involves supporting editors through sub-editing and administrative tasks, contributing to sister sites when needed, and managing selected social media accounts. You will additionally mentor junior interns and writers when required, and support the team on ad-hoc assignments.
What you will do:
- Pitch ideas, produce content pieces for Eatbook.sg and our clients
- Long-form features: focusing on research and interviews to ensure a healthy roster of long-form food features on the site
- Assist the editors with relevant sub-editing and administrative tasks where required
- Assist with writing articles for sister sites where required
- Manage select social media accounts, where needed
- Mentoring of junior interns and writers when tasked to do so
- Undertake any other ad-hoc assignments as required
The successful candidate should have:
- At least 1 years of experience in lifestyle content (bonus if you have food-related articles)
- A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field.
- Strong command of English with exceptional writing skills. A proven ability to craft stories that capture the audience's attention is a bonus.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, able to thrive with minimal supervision while still working effectively within a team.
- Proficient in SEO practices and social media platforms would be a bonus.
