About your role:
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Executive / Manager, Business Development to champion Eatbook, one of Singapore’s leading food and lifestyle digital publications.
This role is both commercial and consultative - owning revenue growth for the brand by acquiring new advertisers, growing existing accounts, and positioning Eatbook as a market-leading media platform for food, lifestyle, and consumer brands.
You will work closely with internal editorial, content, strategy, and operations teams to deliver effective, insight-led paid media campaigns across Eatbook and the wider Smart Local Media Group ecosystem.
What you will do:
Revenue & Business Growth
- Own and drive revenue for Eatbook through new client acquisition, renewals, upselling, and long-term partnerships
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with brands, agencies, and key decision-makers
- Build a strong pipeline and consistently close deals to meet and exceed revenue targets
Sales & Client Solutions
- Develop and pitch customised paid media solutions across digital content, social media, branded content, and integrated campaigns
- Lead client conversations from discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business objectives and translating them into effective media strategies
Brand Championing & Market Education
- Represent Eatbook confidently in the market, articulating the brand’s value proposition, audience insights, and performance strengths
- Educate clients and agencies on new media trends, content-led advertising, and social-first storytelling
- Stay ahead of industry, platform, and consumer trends to identify new monetisation opportunities
Internal Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with editorial, content, strategy, and operations teams to ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly and successfully
- Provide clear campaign briefs and manage expectations across stakeholders
- Contribute to sales planning, forecasting, reporting, and post-campaign reviews
A successful candidate should have:
- 3 to 5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in digital media, publishing, content, social media, or advertising
- Proven track record in closing deals and managing client relationships
- Strong understanding of digital media, content marketing, social platforms, and branded content solutions
- Confident communicator with experience presenting to mid- to senior-level stakeholders
- Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills and business acumen
- Relationship-focused, personable, and able to build credibility quickly with clients and agencies
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
- A team player who can work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
