About your role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Executive for Advertising Sales to lead and drive our advertising revenue growth.
This role requires a strategic thinker passionate about the media industry, with a proven track record in building and maintaining high-value client relationships, driving end-to-end sales processes, and identifying new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry trends, ability to manage cross-functional teams, and the skills to effectively represent our brand in the marketplace.
What you will do:
Individual Sales and Team Revenue Achievements
- Develop and implement robust sales strategies that align with company objectives, driving consistent revenue growth and achieving individual sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and clients. Understand client needs, resolve complex issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base. Build and leverage a strong network of senior client contacts to own and drive assigned sales verticals and agencies.
- Oversee the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and negotiating to closing deals and managing renewals. Ensure all sales processes and workflows are effectively managed, including collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely sales reporting. Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and maintain minimum engagement levels through calls and meetings.
Team Support and Management
- Provide support to the AVP, Business Development - Team Head and management in senior sales and management duties, including reporting and key agency relationships. Facilitate internal stakeholder discussions and provide ad-hoc support as needed.
- Hire, train, onboard, and manage team members as required. Oversee team performance and provide support as necessary.
Other Responsibilities
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge. Identify new revenue streams and innovative approaches.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration for pitches and lead all efforts during the pitch process. Develop and present our brand’s credentials and case studies confidently to senior stakeholders.
- Promote and advocate for our group’s advertising solutions in the marketplace. Ensure high visibility and top-of-mind awareness through regular engagement in media workshops, events, and networking sessions.
- Perform other senior sales duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the line manager or management.
A successful candidate should have:
- At least 2 to 4 years of sales or business development experience in a similar industry with a proven track record
- Excellent understanding of new media, digital publishing, content and social media industry
- Experience working with Singapore Government advertisers and agencies is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiator with a commercial mindset
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior-level executives and decision makers
- Great people skills, team spirit, have ease in building strong professional relationships and able to work collaboratively and efficiently individually, in and across teams
- Outstanding multi-tasking, analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous with a keen eye for detail
