(Senior) Business Development Executive
About your role:
We're looking for a driven Sales professional to grow our Malaysia’s client base through strategic lead generation, client acquisition, and tailored proposal pitching.
You will manage end-to-end sales, from prospecting and closing deals to ensuring smooth campaign execution with internal teams. A key part of the role includes nurturing long-term client relationships and identifying new revenue opportunities while staying ahead of industry trends.
What you will do:
Sales Strategy & Lead Generation
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive business growth for TSL Malaysia.
- Explore creative ways to generate leads, including participation in events and launches to expand our network.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and connect with key decision-makers to secure new business opportunities.
- Actively prospect, pitch, and convert leads into long-term clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify upsell opportunities, and build strong long-term relationships.
- Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring continued trust, satisfaction, and repeat business.
Proposal, Presentation & Negotiation
- Craft customised proposals that align with client needs and objectives.
- Deliver compelling presentations to showcase TSL’s value and offerings.
- Lead negotiations, close deals, and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams, including project management and creative departments, to ensure timely and effective execution of campaigns.
- Collaborate with Finance to address payment issues and assist clients with related inquiries, ensuring a smooth post-sale experience.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Prepare accurate sales reports and forecasts.
- Keep the Head of Sales updated on progress, challenges, and pipeline status.
Market Awareness
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to provide insights that enhance our sales strategy.
A successful candidate should have:
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or client servicing, preferably in media, advertising, or digital marketing.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Familiarity with new media, digital publishing, content and social media industry, particularly in Malaysian media landscape.
- Existing network of contacts within the Malaysian media, advertising, or marketing industry is a strong advantage.
- Proficient in preparing reports, tracking pipelines, and using sales CRM tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinker with a commercial mindset, capable of effective negotiation and problem-solving to drive business outcomes.
