About the role:
We are seeking a seasoned Sales professional (Director level) to lead and scale our commercial growth in Singapore. This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end accountability for revenue performance across TSL’s portfolio of media platforms, including social, editorial, KOL/influencer solutions, and video.
You will be responsible for setting the commercial direction, cultivating senior-level client and agency relationships, driving new business, and leading a high-performing sales team. This role requires a strong strategic mindset, deep media and agency networks, and the ability to translate market opportunities into sustainable revenue growth.
What you will do:
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets across all TSL channels (social media, editorial, KOLs, video, and integrated solutions).
- Own annual revenue forecasting, projections, and resource planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify new growth opportunities, emerging revenue streams, and innovative commercial models in response to market and client needs.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to proactively refine sales strategies.
Business Development & Client Leadership
- Identify, qualify, pitch, and close new business with direct advertisers and media agencies.
- Establish and maintain strong, senior-level relationships with key decision-makers, positioning TSL as a strategic media partner rather than a transactional vendor.
- Drive revenue growth through client retention, strategic upselling, and cross-selling across TSL’s full suite of solutions.
- Review and guide clients’ advertising strategies and deliverables to ensure campaign objectives, KPIs, and outcomes are met.
- Nurture and deepen agency partnerships to unlock new and recurring advertising opportunities.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting clear performance expectations and revenue targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide structured coaching, and develop capability-building plans to uplift individual and team effectiveness.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable sales culture aligned with TSL’s values and growth ambitions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level sales talent, building a strong leadership pipeline within the commercial team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Governance
- Partner closely with editorial, content, video, talent, and operations teams to deliver integrated, client-centric solutions.
- Collaborate on RFP strategies and lead responses to complex briefs, ensuring commercial viability and creative excellence.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Management Team on sales pipeline, conversion rates, and win/loss analysis.
- Ensure disciplined sales processes, accurate forecasting, and strong commercial governance.
The successful candidate should have:
- At least 10 years of experience in media, advertising, or digital sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Demonstrated experience leading and scaling successful sales teams.
- Strong, established network within the advertising and media agency ecosystem.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with strong commercial acumen.
- Entrepreneurial, resilient, and able to operate calmly and decisively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Solid understanding of digital media platforms, content ecosystems, and integrated media solutions.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior sales professionals.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Genuine passion for digital media, storytelling, and content creation.
