Creative Executive (Thailand)

About the role:

We are looking for a Creative Executive to join our team at The Smart Local (Thailand). We are a bilingual channel with an international footprint, and we need a "maker"—someone who loves the process of creating content from a blank page to the final upload.


You won’t just be sitting at a desk writing scripts; you will be out in the field, managing shoots, editing short-form video, and supporting the team to ensure every piece of content hits our high aesthetic standards. If you are a video-first creative with an eye for design and a nose for trends, we want to hear from you.


What you will do:

  • End-to-End Production: Full ownership of content projects from ideation and scripting through shoot coordination, filming, and final video editing — serving as both director and editor of each project.
  • Short-Form Video Expertise: Creation of engaging, fast-paced vertical videos designed to capture attention instantly, with strong ability to translate trending concepts into TSL-style content.
  • Collaborative & Cross-Functional: A flexible team player who supports fellow team members on shoots, assists with logistics, and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve client objectives.
  • Trend Strategy: Deep awareness of social media trends, including emerging audio, editing styles, and popular formats, with the ability to apply them effectively to lifestyle content.
  • Quality Assurance: Consistent delivery of high-quality content that meets company standards, with careful attention to pacing, storytelling, and visual presentation prior to publishing.
  • On-camera Ability (Secondary): Individuals who are comfortable on camera and open to occasional on-screen participation are encouraged.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in content creation, with a heavy focus on video editing and production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop or other other editing tools)
  • Basic graphic design skills (for thumbnails, social cards, or overlays) are a huge plus.
  • Experience in Lifestyle, Travel, or Food content is highly preferred.
  • Native or fluent Thai language
  • Basic to conversational proficiency in English
  • Understand the fast-paced nature of digital media. 
  • Organised, deadline-focused and can handle feedback without losing your creative spark.
