Advertising Sales Executive (Malaysia)

About your role:

We are looking for proven sales performers who are goal-oriented and passionate about the media industry, to be based at our Malaysia office.

This is a role for someone who is a hunter and hungry for new business success. We are also looking for individuals to maintain relationships with our existing clients as we expand. The business segment will be assigned based on your experience and the network that you bring.


What you will do:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for TSL Malaysia. This involves exploring innovative methods to generate leads, devising fresh strategies, and participating in launches and events to network and create opportunities for lead generation.
  • Prospect and acquire new clients by identifying and contacting key decision-makers in businesses.
  • Develop and present proposals tailored to meet the needs of prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as project management and creative departments to ensure effective campaign execution.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts, and update Head of Sales on progress regularly.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify additional advertising opportunities.
  • Establish strong rapport with key account clients, maintain positive relationships and ensure their ongoing satisfaction with our products and services, fostering repeat business and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors' activities to provide strategic insights and enhance sales efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance to resolve payment discrepancies. Providing exceptional customer service and addressing client inquiries related to payments.

A successful candidate should have:

  • At least 2 to 4 years of sales or business development experience with a proven track record
  • Familiarity with new media, digital publishing, content and social media industry
  • Strong negotiator with a commercial mindset.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Team spirit and ease in building strong professional relationships.
  • Great people skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
