About your role:

This position will be based in our Singapore office located in Kallang Bahru.


We are seeking someone who will help to elevate the quality of content produced and maintaining the core brand identity and content direction for TSL on Youtube. 


You will be overseeing content creation, ensuring it aligns with brand values and implementing best practices for video production and storytelling. The successful candidate will also be expected to increase the following and traffic on our Youtube channel, including developing strategies to grow subscribers, maintaining a consistent voice, visual style and messaging, and reinforcing the brand's identity to effectively engage target audiences.  


What you will do:

Video Production 

  • Lead the conceptualisation, filming, and post-production of video content for advertising and promotional purposes.
  • Ensure smooth end-to-end production of at least one video segment under TheSmartLocal, from filming to editing to upload.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain high production values and creative storytelling.

 Content Ideation & Planning

  • Work closely with the team leads to develop and execute a structured video content plan.
  • Brainstorm, research, and develop engaging and original video concepts.
  • Align content with business goals, audience engagement strategies, and advertiser objectives.

Content Development (Organic/Client Work) 

  • QC all YouTube content to maintain production and storytelling standards before uploads.
  • Efficiently manage resource allocation, including engaging freelancers and external partners when necessary.

Client Management (if assigned)

  • Work with the Assistant YouTube Manager to ingest and execute client briefs.
  • Liaise with the Client Services Team on project timelines, deliverables, and updates.
  • Troubleshoot production and logistical challenges in collaboration with the Client Servicing Team.

Other Duties

  • (Optional) Appear in TheSmartLocal media content when required.
  • Assist in logistical tasks, such as carrying equipment and attending photographic. assignments, as part of the dynamic nature of our startup (≤5% of duties).
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc assignments as required.

A successful candidate should have:

  • Minimum 2 year of experience in video producing
  • Familiar with production processes
  • Able to shoot and edit photos and videos
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Lightroom
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of SEO and Social Media will be added advantages
