About the role:
Location: Indonesia (Remote)
Employment Type: Freelance - 1 Year Contract (Renewable)
This position will fully remote (work from anywhere in Indonesia) and reporting to our team based in Singapore.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about food content and capable of editing video and photo content for Eatbook’s digital platforms. This individual should stay on top of trends to pitch timely, engaging video ideas, and create high-impact short-form content by editing videos with captions, graphics, and platform-specific optimisation.
The successful candidate should be able to collaborate with the team to publish quickly, adapt based on performance, and ensure all content follows copyright and platform guidelines.
What you will do:
Spot Trends & Source Content
- Stay updated on trending topics, viral clips, and current events — both local and regional.
- Pitch video concepts that are timely, witty, and share-worthy.
Edit for Maximum Impact
- Edit videos by combining multiple clips into smooth, fast-paced, and engaging short-form content.
- Add captions, graphics, memes, sound effects, and music to boost watch time.
- Optimise edits for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
Graphic Design and Photo Editing
- Edit graphics using Canva, translating viral editorial pieces into compelling visuals optimised for Instagram.
- Edit photo assets for editorial deliverables as needed.
Publish-Ready & Platform-Perfect
- Format videos to each platform’s specs and algorithm preferences.
- Work closely with the content and social media team to get videos out while trends are still hot.
- Adapt content quickly based on feedback and performance data.
Follow the Rules
- Ensure proper credit, rights usage, and compliance with copyright/fair use guidelines.
- Keep up with platform policies and editing best practices.
The successful candidate should have:
- At least 2 years' experience in short-form video editing (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts)
- Working knowledge in photo editing using Lightroom.
- Proficient in editing tools like Canva, Capcut, Adobe Premier.
- Strong eye for timing, pacing, and what makes a video “viral-worthy.”
- Creative thinker who can work fast without losing quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with remote teams.
- Proficient in creating simple graphics
