Business Development Executive (Thailand)
About the role:
This position will be based in Thailand.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Executive for TSL Thailand to lead and drive our advertising revenue growth.
This role requires a strategic thinker passionate about the media industry, with a proven track record in building and maintaining high-value client relationships, driving end-to-end sales processes, and identifying new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry trends, ability to manage cross-functional teams, and the skills to effectively represent our brand in the marketplace.
What you will do:
- Plan and execute sales for TSL Thailand. This includes finding new creative ways to generate leads, new strategies and attending launches and events that allow you to network and generate leads.
- Meet clients physically and virtually regularly and maintain positive relationships with regular clients, even on personal channels such as Whatsapp and Line to increase the chance of repeat business.
- Work closely with the rest of the team so clients are seamlessly passed on. While colleagues take care of the execution, you have to ensure they are briefed properly so they are aligned and handle any crisis between the client and team.
- The sales team is expected to issue the IO to the client and hand the signed copy over to the Country Manager before counting it as a sale. You have to follow up on any delays of payment after the campaign is complete. Should the client default on payment (very rare), you will not be entitled any commission from that sale.
- Represent the company well at all times and uphold the positive image and branding of the Company. Employees are not permitted to voice our negativity to current employees or non-employees which may result in the loss of reputation of the Company.
The successful candidate should have:
- At least 1-2 years of sales or business development experience in a similar industry with a proven track record
- Excellent understanding of new media, digital publishing, content and social media industry
- Strong negotiator with a commercial mindset
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior-level executives and decision makers
- Great people skills, team spirit, have ease in building strong professional relationships and able to work collaboratively and efficiently individually, in and across teams
- Outstanding multi-tasking, analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous with a keen eye for detail
- Native level Thai proficiency.
- Able to work independently and remotely at times.
- Positive attitude and able to think out of the box.
